There have been a few questions about who can attend skills sessions. We
accept anyone that has full membership with USA Volleyball as a participant.
They do not have to be in our club. If they play with another club, they
must have their club director send me an email giving them permission to
attend. Athletes that are only practicing with one of our teams are welcome
to attend skills sessions. Anyone that is going to be a member of our youth
program is encouraged to attend.

You must register for the sessions on the website. Registering for a session
means you are responsible for the fee. We plan on offering training
opportunities for 10s-14s not on a team in February and March. Anyone that
is going to be part of this program is also welcome to attend skills
sessions.

You need to have your membership card with USA Volleyball and a copy of your
medical form to attend. We currently have all medical forms at each session.
We will be issuing copies of the medical form for each athlete in the
program. We recommend that you laminate a copy of the completed form and put
it in your daughter's gym bag so they have it with them if they attend
skills sessions or practice with another team. It is your responsibility to
make sure they carry this form with them at all associated events (Practice
or competition).

Skills sessions will be offered until we run out of extra court time in late
January or February. They are 1.5-2 hours in duration. We will offer
sessions during the holidays for anyone that is interested. Jesse Ortiz,
from Miami Volleyball, will be a primary clinician, in addition to other
members of the Borderline staff. We will also offer private or semi-private
lessons if they are requested. These will be mostly on Saturdays or even
Sundays.

There is plenty of space available for the sessions tomorrow. Athletes that
must miss practices due to conflicts may be able to attend skills to make up
their practice. This is acceptable with the permission of your coach.

See you this weekend!

Bill
