Here is what we can tell you about the officiating scrimmage at the Spooky
Nook Champion Mill in Hamilton, OH. The Borderline 10s, 11s, 12s, 13s, and
14 Attack will participate on Saturday. The 14 Hawks, both 15s, and 16/17
Hawks will participate on Sunday. 

 

The site is located at 601 N. B St. It is the former Champion Mill Paper
Company. Everyone should enter via Gate 1 on the north side of the building.
Coaches should arrive at 8 AM each day. Athletes should arrive by 8:30 AM
Teams will be split into Scorekeeper/Libero Trackers and 2nd Referee/Line
judges. We will conduct clinics on both phases of responsibility from 9-11
AM. 

 

The scrimmage will begin at 11 AM. Teams will participate in "matches"
consisting of one set to 25 and one set to 15. Officiating teams will have
the opportunity to be certified as 2nd Referees and Scorers. There will be
professional officials to perform the duty of 1st Referee  and raters. Teams
that do not have their uniforms can still participate. A numbered shirt is
all that is necessary. The Libero does not have to have a number on their
shirt. We will be done by 6 PM.

 

Parents can watch, but expect several delays as we learn our duties. The
main focus of the event is to prepare our athletes for their duties as
support officials. Athletes can bring soft sided coolers for beverages and
snacks.
