Borderline 15 Attack (2012)15 Attack Win Gold in Franklin (4/28/12)After a hard-fought victory in pool play, Borderline 15 Attack came home with the Gold at the 15R Kingdom Sports tournament in Franklin, Ohio. The team started off behind, losing the first match against SOVC Blue Kights. However, 15 Attack fought back in their next match against Cincinnati Volleyball Academy (CVA). Playing best of 5, 15 Attack lost their first two sets, then went on to win 3 consecutive sets which earned them a spot in the Gold bracket. With momentum on their side, the girls went on to defeat Spiketown Shazam in two games, and earned a critical victory in a re-match against SOVC Blue Knights in two games. The championship game ended up being another re-match against CVA, with Borderline pulling off a well-deserved two-game victory. The tournament was exhausting, but a blast to watch. The team played together and showed a phenomenal group effort, even with girls stepping up into new, unfamiliar positions. The players demonstrated strong leadership and their determination showed with every ball they dug, every shank they returned, and every hit they killed. The parents and coaches could not be more proud of 15 Attack. the team will take the court again this weekend in Columbus in their 15U event prior to Regionals.
