The Borderline Junior Volleyball Club is a non-profit, competitive program dedicated to: advancing the personal and athletic development of youth through the pursuit of excellence in volleyball and promoting leadership in all Club members by providing this opportunity at a reasonable cost.
We, the Coaches, athletes, parents and other members of the Borderline Junior Volleyball Club want to share the mission of creating and supporting a program that has a profoundly positive effect on young athletes within the context of competitive volleyball: We believe our Club helps young athletes develop skills that will help them with "life" by teaching them to set difficult, but achievable goals; We help our athletes achieve their goals by fostering in them and in ourselves a personal commitment to support each other and work as a team, which requires diligence, perseverance and discipline.
Borderline Junior Volleyball is a proud member of the Ohio Valley Region and USAV. Our teams will participate in events sanctioned by these organizations. Some teams may participate in additional events run by outside organizations in order to meet tournament entry projections. Additional events can be added to schedules per coach/athlete's request.
USA Volleyball provides the opportunity for girls and boys who want to increase their knowledge, understanding, and skill playing the sport of volleyball. There are three levels of USA Volleyball juniors’ competition in most age groups:
1. A Regional team (except for the 18s) is for the developing athlete.
2. An American team (11s through 17s) is for teams that are very competitive, but that do not want all of the travel associated with the National level of play.
3. A National team is for the highly skilled athlete. National teams can compete for a bid to go to the USA Volleyball Junior National Championships.
