OverviewBorderline offers advertising on its website as a fundraiser for Borderline athletes. Borderline athletes may solicit sponsors to cover some or all of their Borderline Fees (see the Borderline Handbook, "Borderline Fees"). If an athlete obtains sponsor fees in excess of her club fees, the excess sponsor fees are applied to a general fund to benefit other players in the club. (This is necessary to preserve athletes' amateur status and their eligibility for scholastic teams.) Policies and ProceduresParents/guardians arrange advertising and submit the ads here once they have been paid by the sponsor(s). All advertising fees must be paid to the parent or guardian of the athlete. Any advertising fees paid to Borderline will be applied to all. Parents/guardians are responsible for sending appropriate ad graphics, which they should obtain from the sponsors or, if necessary, develop and have approved by the sponsors. Ads must be appropriate for Borderline's junior audience. Parents/guardians are solely responsible for the content of the ads they submit. Borderline Juniors, its employees, and its contractors are not responsible for ad content. Advertising RatesAdvertising on the Borderline website is available at the following rates:
The relative position of each ad is randomized on its web page(s) to provide fair impressions to all sponsors. The fee for personal ads, which must be at least $25, may be negotiated between parents/guardians and sponsors.
