Borderline 16 Red (2011)16 Blackout Go to Finals Two Weeks in a Row (4/10-17/11)The 16 Blackout team has done nothing but improve all season. They are at the top of their game right now and are ready to take that into the OVR championships come May. 16 Blackout defeated teams in 2 sets to get to the finals. The first tournament was a 17s' tournament so the girls played teams who had a little more experience, but they came out defeating tough Kaepa Buckeye and other 17s' teams to get to the finals. They played hard in the finals, being defeated by the #1 ranked team in the OVR. On Sunday, April 16, the girls again defeated teams in 2 sets, including a tough Team Z team to get to the finals on April 16. The Team Z team had not lost one match yet all season. The girls played hard to get to the finals and again played a tough final match. They fell behind the first set, then came back in the second set to go 3 games with a top-ranked Silver Bullets team. 16 Blackout fell behind in the end but we have never been so proud of them. They are practicing hard and playing together as a team and that shows on the court. The 16 Blackout team plays next in the NKJV tournament April 30th-May 1st.
